Me, As a Professional….

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and health coach in the State of Wisconsin. I have worked over two decades in the mental health field and fitness industry. I am a certified grief counselor, mindfulness coach, adoption competent mental health therapist, yoga teacher, and group fitness instructor.

Throughout my career, I have worked in private practice, community service agencies, health clubs, hospitals and as the Executive Director of a small Wisconsin adoption agency. I continue to work collaboratively with other professionals in those areas to advance work with individuals like you.

In my professional career I have interacted with hundreds of people from all walks of life dealing with a myriad of different issues and I genuinely love what I do. I am passionate about helping clients recognize and embrace their strengths, identify goals, navigate and overcome barriers, and develop daily practices that allow them to feel empowered and generate balance in their lives. And I will do the same with you! Together we will create and sustain balance so you can live your best life.

Me, As a Person…

I am passionate about living wholeheartedly and being present with everything life has to offer. I believe that health is not lack of disease but how we show up in the face of dis-ease. Life certainly can be messy, and I believe this messiness is an invitation to get to know ourselves better so that we can practice acceptance, compassion and trust.

I believe that health is multifaceted and includes all areas of life. As an athlete since I was young (from participating in team sports, running and cycling events and most recently completing the Wisconsin Ironman), I love to exercise and have built a rich foundation of strength and endurance that has served me well. However, I believe health is so much more than just exercise and diet. So about 15 years ago I added in yoga and meditation practices to connect the mind, body and spirit and gain more balance in my life. These practices have allowed me to navigate life with less reaction and more intention. I am certain that my strong foundation of physical, mental, and emotional health has been my biggest source of resiliency as I navigate daily life. 

Throughout my life, the people that I’ve connected with in my most difficult times (family, friends, therapists, coaches) have helped me tremendously. Life is not meant to be traveled alone, and to me connection is vital. As life continues to unfold, I have ample opportunity to practice turning toward challenges so I can learn more about myself and live wholeheartedly. I sometimes get derailed and need reminders and when I do, I look for connection and support.

This is what I offer you, connection and support. A place to be vulnerable, where you are seen, heard and validated. I hope you take the step to invest in yourself, by doing this no matter what life serves you, you will be able to show up, learn and thrive.
